Meet Rekha Lakra

People. Pressure.
Possibility.

Rekha Lakra is a lawyer, mediator, adjudicator, speaker and leadership facilitator. She also serves as Vice-Chair of a tribunal where she presides over complex, high-stakes matters involving capacity, treatment and personal autonomy.

Drawing on more than 1,000 matters and engagements across adjudication, mediation and conflict coaching, Rekha has worked where competing perspectives, strong emotions and consequential decisions collide. That experience has given her a distinctive understanding of human behaviour—what drives us to react automatically, and how to create space and choose a different response.

Her approach brings together legal and conflict-resolution expertise, high-stakes decision-making, mindfulness and practical leadership development. She helps people expand beyond limiting patterns—developing greater self-awareness, clarity, courage and compassion so they can strengthen relationships, build more connected teams and create high-performing cultures.

At the heart of Rekha’s work is a simple idea:
how we show up shapes what becomes possible around us.

Rekha is also a writer, exploring through fiction how the stories we carry shape our choices, relationships and humanity.

More about Rekha

Rekha’s career has been at the intersection of law, human behaviour and conflict. From the boardroom to the hearing room, from difficult conversations to high-stakes decisions, she helps people navigate complexity with greater clarity, courage and connection.

Mindfulness-Based Approach

Mindfulness is not an escape from difficult situations. It is a way of creating enough awareness and space to meet them with greater intention and choice.

Writer

Rekha also explores many of these same questions through fiction—how the stories we carry shape our choices, our relationships and our humanity.

I believe that when people feel heard, understood and respected, new possibilities open.

But creating that kind of connection begins with our ability to understand ourselves.

— Rekha Lakra

Rekha’s purpose is to help people expand beyond the patterns that keep them stuck—to create greater clarity, stronger connection and more humanity in the places where it matters most.

Not by eliminating disagreement.

Not by asking people to accommodate what should not be accommodated.

But by helping us become more conscious of who we are being in the moments that matter—and more capable of choosing what happens next.

We start within, then expand outward.

Change what happens next.

Leadership doesn’t begin with the perfect words. It begins with the awareness to notice what is happening within you, the courage to choose how you want to respond and the capacity to create something different around you.
